Yashveer Singh
Interested in the intangibles of the world, Yashveer is passionate about building strategies, organizations & impact. He learned the ropes of running an enterprise at the age of 20 while leading the student community of over 4000 as the President of Student's Union, BITS-Pilani, 2006-07. Nominated as the Global Shaper 2011 by World Economic Forum, he is a regular speaker at a number of conferences and mentors many non-profits and social entrepreneurs in India and currently serves on the advisory boards of multiple start-ups across sectors.
A Starting Bloc Boston Fellow, he has been invited as a delegate at One Young World Global Summit, 2011 held at Zurich, Switzerland and at 8th UN Youth Assembly held at United Nations Headquarters, New York. Widely covered in Print & E-Media, he has been named as Unsung Hero: Agent of Change by Deccan Chronicle and one of the 100 heroes from across India by Hindustan Times. Srikumar Murthy G
Srikumar is an alumnus of BITS, Pilani. He has been named as the Goldman Sachs Global leader for the year 2008 along with 75 students throughout the world. Srikumar has worked for popular NGOs like CMCA (Children's Movement for Civic Awareness) and Nirmaan. As the Project Coordinator, Nirmaan he facilitated imparting skills like stitching, handicrafts to rural women and also helped them in getting a market for their products. Srikumar has played a pivotal role as the President of Nirmaan-Pilani by initiating new developmental projects at villages and raising funds for them. He is also the recipient of the BITSAA 30 under 30 award which is the highest recognition by the BITS-Pilani Alumni Association to thirty students or alums for their extraordinary achievements before age of 30. Rakesh Anugula
Rakesh is working as Senior Assistant Manager in Citi Group Advanced Analytical Solutions. Rakesh graduated from BITS, Pilani with M.M.S and M.Sc (Tech) Finance. While at Pilani, he was the General Secretary of BITS Students' Union and was conceptualizer of several key initiatives aimed at benefiting students. He received 'Karthikeyan Award' presented to the best graduating student of Management Association. He was one of the two students nominated from Indian Universities to the Confederation of Indian Industry in 2005. Rakesh also founded and led Nirmaan, a social organization which focuses on providing education and livelihood opportunities to the unprivileged. Rakesh was one of the key speakers in the TEDx conference held at Goa in Feb 2010. His passions include Humanity, Indian Polity & Public Policy, Innovation in Public Governance and Entrepreneurship.
Kamini Kinger
Kamini is an Economics graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and an MBA in strategy from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L). For the past 3 years she has been working independently on research that focuses on social entrepreneurship, both with social entrepreneurs like Udyogini and Unitus on consulting projects and with consulting firms to head their research projects in this area. Some of the specific areas that she explored through her work are monetizing opportunities at the BOP, impact assessment and need-gap analysis and fund-raising and philanthropy in India. Owing to her management education and the scale of the challenge (and opportunity) at the BoP, her research focus is on market based solutions to address challenges at the base of the pyramid. Kamini is co-founder of Krysalis Social Impact Advisors, a social organizations/enterprises consulting firm.
Gaurav Makkar
Gaurav is an alumnus of NIT Kurukshetra. A firm believer in the power of innovation and entrepreneurship, he seeks to support the next generation of entrepreneurs in acquiring the tools they need to solve the society's most pressing problems.
Gaurav brings with him expertise of multiple sectors, including building and leading teams across the globe at HP and Accenture serving many Fortune 500 clients, consulting social enterprises in developing robust business models, financial plans and growths strategy to maximize their impact and sustainability. He is also busy setting up world's first design focused incubator cum social venture fund to incubate very early stage social enterprises using design and business strategy.
A StartingBloc fellow, he has been interviewed by many print and online dailies. He was also chosen by Deccan Chronicle as unconventional path takers in a cover story on 'Unleashing Change' along with the likes of Ajay Kela, CEO Wadhwani Foundation and Anurag Behar, CEO Azim Premji Foundation. He also advises and mentors many young social entrepreneurs on strategic and operational issues. Rajat Agarwal
As an elected Coordinator of 200 student member Pharmacy Association at BITS Pilani, Rajat conceptualized various key activities and strongly believes in the philosophy that "the whole purpose of education is to transform mirrors into windows."
Also, at college he was selected to be part of 40 exceptional students at one of India's top centers of entrepreneurship. Excited by the scale & possibilities of India's demographic dividend, he has attended and organized many innovation, skill building and entrepreneurship conferences throughout country. He co-founded Kairos, his startup idea that aims to avail the use of basic computer technology to economically backward primary schools. Under his leadership, the NSEF Authors of Change 2011, saw unprecedented nationwide participation of nearly 1,500 applicants of which best 50 were selected to address various key challenges of some of the disruptive social enterprises of India.

Sujoy Chaudhary
Sujoy is Tech Manager at NSEF and a student of M.Sc. (Tech) in Finance at BITS Pilani. A web designer by choice, he is proud to claim that his portfolio websites receive more than 1,50,000 impressions a day. His interests also lie in Event Management, and he is currently the Joint Co-ordinator of Conquest 2011, an entrepreneurship conclave featuring one of the biggest business plan competitions in Asia. He has also been part of TEDx Pilani, BarCamp Pilani, TechBazaar 2010 and numerous other events as part of CEL. A Kairos Global Fellow, he was invited to United Nations and New York Stock Exchange in February 2011 for his initiatives.

Subhash Achanta
Subhash is Pursuing his Postgraduate in Management Studies at Hyderabad. An Engineering Graduate in Information Technology from JNTU, he has got more than 3 years of work experience with non-profit and for-profit organizations. As President, Nirmaan he has successfully initiated many new projects and also establishing a range of well received popular projects. He is also actively working on increasing conscience on Global Warming in Educational and Corporate Institutions. His aim is to become a Social Entrepreneur and also encourage Social Entrepreneurs by funding their projects. Bhavna Toor
Bhavna gracefully straddles the three worlds of social enterprise, investments and glamour.
Bhavna’s global upbringing in Bangladesh, Nigeria, Tanzania, the UK and the US spawned in her a deep and lasting interest in international development and poverty alleviation. She has built a strong track record of leading, advising and fundraising for non-profits and social enterprises. A StartingBloc Fellow, Bhavna recently completed her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business focusing on Social Innovation and Impact.
Bhavna has spent close to 8 years on Wall Street working for leading investment firms. Most recently, she was a Vice Present in the Alternatives Investments Group at Lazard, where she was responsible for sales and product development of hedge funds. Her passion for applying her investment skills to the social sector has now led her to India, where she is helping to set up a design-focused social venture capital fund.
On the glamour front, Bhavna is a former Miss India New York, actress, model, dancer and TV anchor for the largest south Asian TV network in the US - Namaste America. Bhavna has been invited to speak at annual galas and conferences for several leading organizations in the US including NYU, Pratham, Sakhi and Lend-A-Hand India.

Shashank Khanna
Shashank is an Experience Designer and a Social Innovator. He applies design thinking as an instrument to understand problems in developing economies and offer holistic solutions. His research and design has materialized into special products, which allow people to access digital services irrespective of low literacy or special
needs. His designs have been adopted by FINO to deliver essential banking services to the low-income segment. He has also worked on developing supplementary income opportunities for low-income people using crowdsourcing. He educates and mentors "ideas to product lifecycle" that can bring tangible impact. He propagates integration of user centric design strategy and culture of innovation to build successful products and thus enterprises.
His working association with Yahoo, Microsoft Research and Samsung Global Design Studio adds a vast spectrum of experience. He holds a Master's in Design from the Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay and Bachelor's in Architecture from DCRUST, Murthal. He is a speaker at various platforms on Design and Innovation including TEDxNitRourkela, TEDxIPSAIndore and IEEE Summer School. His work has been published by esteemed national and international bodies about development like ICTD, London and Microfinance Insights, Fast Company, University of Washington, University of California, Berkley and crowdsourcing org.
Luckily boundaries between his professional and personal interests have vanished; basically he enjoys what he does. He is passionate about discussing how design thinking holds importance in national development, paint abstracts, gets high with a camera in hand and studies the mystic nature of sufism. Karanvir Gupta
Born and brought up in not so urbane but compassionate atmosphere in the lands of Jammu and Kashmir, Karanvir has done B.Tech in Electonics and Communication Engg. from VIT University, Vellore. Karanvir has presented papers in various National and International competitions such as ELECTROUTSAV, SAADHNA and SEDS International Conferece and has been regular participant in Quiz and Debate competitions.
Always wanting to Lead the change, Karanvir has been School House Captain; Editor at his college magazine, the concept of which was revolutionised and was taken to 10,000 people of college from work of few minds. He is always keen in organising and managing teams and bring forward the ordinary in extra-ordinary way. Currently working as a Columnist at The Viewspaper, he has many featured articles to his credit and has also got his poem published in Deccan Chronicle. Karanvir is an excellent public speaker and has taken various seminars and presentations from college to at work.
Social Causes have always caught his attention and soul. Awaaz Do, the program to spread awareness about educating 1.8 million deprived children in India is what he strongly supports. Not following any NGO or non-profit, he practices Go Green activities in his daily life. He strongly believes that education and awareness is what can revolutionise the world and keeping the nature clean and tax free is what can promise us a brighter future.
At leisure, he loves reading, dancing, travelling, visiting eateries and listening to music. Theatre and dancing are more close to his heart as he has been part of it for quite long. Walk the ramp is his long woven fantasy.
